A league management app and marketing site for grassroots sports organizers, built for fast weekly scheduling.

The challenge

Weekend league organizers were running schedules, standings, and rosters out of spreadsheets and group chats, which fell apart the moment a game got rescheduled.

The solution

We designed and built a scheduling-first league app — organizers set up a season in minutes, players get live schedule and standings updates, and reschedules propagate instantly instead of getting buried in a group chat.

Shadow real league nights
Sat in on actual weeknight league operations to see where spreadsheets and group chats were breaking down.

Design around the organizer's week
Built the information architecture around the organizer's weekly rhythm: set the schedule, handle the inevitable reschedule, post standings.

Ship web and mobile together
Built the marketing site and the React Native app in parallel against a shared API, so organizers and players landed in a consistent product.

Pilot with a real league
Ran a full season with a pilot league before general release, fixing the scheduling edge cases that only show up in live play.
